At the Women’s Poker Classic, pink is more than a color — it’s a symbol of strength, courage, and community. Players are encouraged to wear pink attire, decorate their tables, and show creative flair while playing for a cause that touches millions of lives.
The structure blends serious competition with serious fun — featuring main events, side games, and special recognition for creativity, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
A Platform for Voices
Between rounds, the spotlight turns from the tables to the people. Survivors and supporters are invited to share their stories, offer tributes, or speak about loved ones they’re playing for. These heartfelt moments bring warmth and unity to the room, reminding everyone why they’re there — to support one another and to fight breast cancer together.
Giving That Feels Good
Proceeds from the event go toward breast cancer research and patient support programs. In addition to tournament entries, attendees can donate directly at the event or through digital fundraising links. A portion of merchandise and raffle sales may also be donated.

From 2006 to 2013, the Women’s Poker Classic was one of British Columbia’s most cherished and memorable poker events — a heartfelt tournament that united women from all walks of life in support of the fight against breast cancer.
Those who were there still talk about it today — the laughter, the tears, the pink everywhere, and the deep bonds that formed between players who showed up not only to play cards but to lift each other up.
It was a community filled with kindness, courage, and connection — and to this day, many of those friendships remain strong.
Though the event has been silent for years, its spirit never faded. It lives in our memories, in the stories we tell, and in the love we still feel for what it represented.
That’s why we’re bringing the Women’s Poker Classic to sea, aboard Ultimate Poker Cruises — to celebrate its legacy in a new, unforgettable way.
